On April 16, 2026, the Eurode Business Centre had the privilege to host an international group of the Interreg-Euro project “Borderlabs” for a study visit.
The experts from border regions in Central Europe received detailed information about the Public Body (Eurode Zweckverband), Grensarbeid Kerkrade, and the services of the border information point. In addition, various cross-border projects in areas such as public safety and order, culture and education, urban development, and cross-border job placement were highlighted.
The meeting concluded with a short walk along the border over the Nieuwstraat/Neustraße, during which a piece of history about the special border between Kerkrade and Herzogenrath was shared.
